Getting back to business!!

Ok, Karen this is for you:) No, I didn't trip over a log and break my fingers, thank goodness. But, thanks for bringing my attention back to my blog...I have been pretty busy lately and kind of forgot that I started one. I know it's a sad excuse but it's the only one I've got.

Aside from my usual baking cakes (which I have been doing alot of), Scott and I are in the beginning stages of building our house. Hopefully our plans will be finalized this week and we can get started on construction in September...Yeah!!! I know my parents are doing a dance when we can't see them:) Added two small children to you retired lifestyle seems to throw people for a loop! I have also taken up jogging, which I'm not very good at but I keep trying. My course is 3.7 miles and I can complete it in 53 minutes. Part of that I jog but mostly walk.

The girls are doing great. Allie-Anne is cheering away at MEGA and loves it. She has camp this weekend to learn their competition routine. Tatum is...well, Tatum. She has learned several new dance moves thanks to Dancing with the Stars, I just hope she doesn't show them off at school. She will start preschool next week so we are very anxious about that.

Well that's it for now, gotta take Allie-Anne to practice. Hope you all have a GREAT day!!

Just returned from a very relaxing weekend at Compass Lake with Scott, the girls, and the dogs. It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend, a little hot, but still beautiful.

Day 1 of blogging:)
I just returned from a two week vacation in NY and decided that I need a blog for family and friends. I started a blog a few weeks ago for The Polka Dot Place which is an up and coming cake buisiness my friend Sandy and I dream of starting one day. This blog is strictly about myself and my family however it probably will have several references to cakes since that is such a huge part of my life these days. I hope you all enjoy the posts and keep checking for new things.
